RELIGION. EXHORTATION, GOSPEL NEWS,CHRISTIAN LYRIC: FATHERHOOD

RELIGION. EXHORTATION, GOSPEL NEWS,CHRISTIAN LYRIC: FATHERHOOD:                            Apostle Godwin I Emorinken ( Senior Pastor Dominion faith Christian Church (inc) )

FATHERHOOD
When
God lead you to follow a man of God, it is mandatory and important for you to
receive him as a father e.g E.g. Elijah and Elisha, Moses and Joshua. You must
see him as a father effortlessly and naturally.

Part
1: Understanding Fatherhood
There
is need for you to understand the teaching of fatherhood, and in this section
we shall be considering biblical truth about this subject.
1.    You don’t have many
fathers: 1cor 4:15. The gift of ‘Father’s is a rare gift. Not every man of God
is a father. Not everyone who teaches or preaches well is a father. in your
life, you will have so many instructors but very few fathers.
a.    A father has the
ability to produce after his own kind. This has nothing to do with old age.
b.    A father input is
comprehensive, that is a total package that cares about you.
c.    A father has a
higher grace of fatherhood that involves patience.
d.    A father has a
heart love. True fatherhood is a manifestation of God’s love. It takes love to
bring up people.
e.    A father exercises
great discipline, thus he is able to train and bring up sons and daughters.
2.    Not every man of
God is a Father. 1KG 19:15-16.
You need to understand that not all men of
God are fathers. Men of God with the cloak of fatherhood are few. Fatherhood
has an extra dimension of love and patience.
a.    A father has the
ability to produce sons and daughters e.g. Elijah produce Elisha, but Elisha
produces no one. 2KG 5:25-27.2:23.
b.    szFathers have
large heart of love and forgiveness. 1KG 19:15-16, 2KG2:23-25.
c.    A father provides
for his children. He provides instructions, teachings, directions, guidance and
protections for his children. He provides for the need of his children.
3.    Receive your man of
God as a father and not as instructors. MAT 21:36-37. It is God who gives
fathers. And you must learn to receive the father God sent into your life, and
this involves receiving his total ministry. God judges us the way we relate the
people He sends to us (FATHER).

DAVID- A MAN AFTER GOD’S HEART

1 SAMUEL 16 – 14
In this series, we shall be dealing with the study of how David became a man after God’s heart. What qualifies him to be regarded as such.  We shall take an in depth study into his attitude, character, and personalities, mindset etc. we shall also deal with His gifting and service for GOD.

1. GOD’S REJECTION OF SAUL: 1 Sam 15:1-3. 12-23, I Sam 16:1, I Sam 15:30, James 4:6
God gave Saul an instruction through Prophet Samuel but Saul partially obeyed the instruction. He moved from disobedience to pride, and  rebellion. Thus, the LORD rejected Him. When you reject his word, you are rejected from reigning.

2. GOD’ PROVISION AS DAVID: 1 SAM 16-3
God is a God of purpose, plan and objectivity. He has a purpose for the people of Israel, and he needed provision for the accomplish His purpose. Saul has failed, and he find a good/better replacement in David as His provision in fulfilling his vision/ purpose for Israel.  GOD has various purposes in the church and for and he is looking for provision to accomplish these purposes.

3. GOD’S METHOD OF CHOOSING HIS PROVISION: 1 SAM 16:4-23
God does not choose by sight or appearance but by looking at the heart. He look at the thoughts and intentions. He looks into your being.

WHAT IT MEANS TO LOVE

“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.” – Ephesians 5:1-2
Love is something that a lot of people talk and sing about. Many many songs are love songs because it is something that we as human beings desire, fantasize and yearn for. Love can be imperfect and directed. There are many ways to love.
You must not love like Cain did. You must not love with territorial love, terminator love or eliminator love. This form of love is basically the type that you find in wild animals (1 John 3:14). If you study certain animals such as lions and dogs, you see them marking their territory with urine. If any of their fellow lions or dogs cross that territory they are done for. We have certain people who practice this kind of love. If you cross their area of “my husband” or “my beloved” you will be eliminated.
An absence of love means that you are dead. 1 John 3:14 tells us that whoever does not abide in love is dead! Wherever there is no love, it is always like living in a place of death. So do not marry someone because they have money or can give you a green card but marry because of love. Even those who marry with love do not have an easy time in their marriage so to marry without the presence of love is guaranteed death. This is why it is difficult to serve God without loving Him. Things that are not done with love are extremely difficult to like and continue in

HOW TO BE A SPECIAL SERVANT OF GOD

What does it mean to be a servant? It means to render assistance or to be of use. That is what it means to be a special servant of God. If you walk out of church today and decide that you want to be of use to God, it is the best decision you would have ever made in your life. You will never finish reaping the benefits of being a special servant of God! When you assist the church and the people of God, you are a servant of God.
To be a servant also means to be in the service to something or someone and to contribute to something. That is why people who contribute their money, time and other items are also servants of God. You will be a great servant of God. “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures” (Job 3:11). When you serve God, you spend your days in prosperity. There will be no need to try to find prosperity. Rather, you must make sure that your service to God is never compromised! We must learn from our brothers who have other religions. They do not compromise with their faith. Unfortunately, Christians do not realize when their blessing is being taken away from them. Never let anyone take away from you the blessing of serving God. Through your service to God, you will receive keys on prosperity. You cannot stay in the house of God without receiving practical guidance for your life. When I found Christ, I realized that I had found something real that genuinely and practically affected my life. It is people who do not really know Christ that are not practically affected by him.
“They shall spend their days in prosperity”; that means that the things that you need to know to become a prosperous person will somehow be found through your service to God. “But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge” (Job 36:12). When you do not serve God, you are deprived of knowledge and destroyed. Decide to obey God and you will receive an influx of knowledge. To be a servant is to be a promoter of something. Once you promote God, the church, and Christian related things, you are a servant of God. Job 36:11 will also work in your life. A servant is also someone who acts as a host. When you are a host, you are a servant of God.
To serve means to provide with a regular and continuous supply of something. When God uses you to provide a regular supply of your money, your time, your energy or your skills, you become his special servant. I see you becoming a promoter of God! From henceforth, you are a servant of God. The blessings of servanthood is your portion.
Blessings!
